Product Description
Set of Inner Cam Bearing Puller and Installation Tools
Compatible with Harley Davidson Twin Cam and Dyna models.
Compatible with all Harley Davidson TC88, 96, 103 and 110s that use the B148 or the B168 bearings.
Function: this set will remove and install the inner cam bearings on both newer and older model Twin Cams and Dyna Harleys. We also have new Torrington-Koyo B-148 and B-168 bearings available in our store under the Harley Davidson section!
This set includes two collets: 1 inch and 0.875 inch. This set includes our Improved collet design. The design sold by others has the whole back of the collet threaded with two slots cut into the threads for turning a wrench on. It's simple, it's cheap, and it's bad. Use that design once or twice, and you may damage the threads where the wrench makes contact, requiring you to now clean up those threads before you can even get the nut off the collet and use it again. We've worked around this issue by moving the threads up on the collet to allow for a more controlled grip and protection of threads. We've also completely redesigned the installer plate, zeroing in on the correct hole placement by taking apart an engine and putting it on a digital drafting table to get the precise placement of all of the important dimensions.
This set includes two Inner Cam Bearing Installers: 1 inch and 0.875 inch.
This set comes with our "T" pin for easier insertion and removal from the collet!
We have completely reworked how the process of pulling and installing the bearings works - we've made it easier, faster, and better. Instead of using a sleeve, nut, and washer with the collet to pull the bearings, the collet is threaded through the plate, and is inserted into the bearing. Once you hear the "click" of the collet passing the bearing on the inside, simply insert our "T" pin for a secure lock, and begin to pull the bearing! Once the bearing is out, you are ready to insert the new bearing in right away! Instead of using the installer plate with a bolt and a driver, we've made the collet from the puller into the bolt. The driver attaches on top of the collet, and the "T" pin is used to lock it all in place. This can be done immediately after pulling the old bearing, with it still hanging on the collet. Once done with the installation of the new bearing, take out the "T" pin, remove the driver, unscrew the collet from the plate, and switch sides to repeat the process. Plus, with our window modification, you get to see the whole process and get it done right! This set includes our Patent Pending window modification to the installer plate. You paid too much for the bike and the tools to end up cracking the engine case because you can't see the bearing! With the redesign, you will never again have to squint through a tiny hole with a flash light!
This tool is professionally made in the USA on the state of the art CNC equipment with 100% quality inspection.
Tool Comes with Black Oxide Coating For Years of Use.

Inner cam bearing puller/installer
Overall a decent tool for the money, it worked well. The only issue I had was installing the new bearings. The tool would not seat the new bearings to the proper depth. Tried several times with the same result. Wound up using the driver tip with a hammer and punch and the bearing was seated the last 1/8 inch or so properly.
