Compatible with Harley Davidson Twin Cam and Dyna models. Designed for Harley Davidson TC88 that use the B148 (AKA I.D. 0.88") bearings. We also have new Koyo (former Torrington) B-148 bearings available in our store!
Function: This set is specifically designed for installing the inner cam bearings on the Twin Cams and Dyna Harleys.
Improvement: We've completely redesigned the installer plate, zeroing in on the correct hole placement by taking apart an engine and putting it on a digital drafting table to get the precise placement of all of the important dimensions. This set also includes our Patent Pending window modification to the installer plate, and the installation progress can be checked. You paid too much for the bike and the tools to end up cracking the engine case because you can't see the bearing! With the redesign, you will never again have to squint through a tiny hole with a flash light!
This kit contains a special adapter in case the bearing hole is not perfectly centered on the plate. This adapter also gives the advantage that the driver does not scratch the bearing when the bolt rotates.
This kit contains a High Strength Steel Hex Head Bolt Grade 8. This screw is at least 25 % stronger than medium-strength steel screws. Zinc yellow-chromate plated steel screws resist corrosion in wet environments.
Material: This inner bearing installation tool set is made of high-quality 1045 cold rolled steel, which is sturdy and durable. Tool comes with black oxide coating for years of use. This tool is professionally made in the USA on the state of the art CNC equipment with 100% quality inspection.
